It's sickening.
When over 100 people coordinate with one another to rob a mall store in broad daylight, Americans who love their country must ask the question "How?" or "Why?"
The answer is the same.
A Marxist named Chasa Boudin is the Chief Law Enforcement Officer for San Franciso. Wikipedia does a great job cataloging the radicalism of San Francisco's District Attorney Chasa Boudin.Boudin was born in New York City to Jewish parents. His parents, Kathy Boudin and David Gilbert, were Weather Underground members. When Boudin was 14 months old, both were arrested and convicted of murder for their role as getaway car drivers in the Brink's robbery of 1981 in Rockland County, New York. His mother was sentenced to 20 years to life and his father to 75 years to life for the felony murders of two police officers and a security guard.
After his parents were incarcerated, Boudin was raised in Chicago by adoptive parents Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, who, like his parents, had been members of the Weather Underground. Boudin reports that he did not learn to read until age 9. Kathy Boudin was released under parole supervision in 2003.
Boudin descends from a long left-wing lineage. His great-grand-uncle, Louis B. Boudin, was a Marxist theoretician and author of a two-volume history of the Supreme Court's influence on American government, and his grandfather Leonard Boudin was an attorney who represented controversial clients such as Fidel Castro and Paul Robeson. His uncle Michael Boudin is a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, and Michael Boudin's uncle Isidor Feinstein Stone was an independent journalist.
Boudin entered St Antony's College, Oxford, on a Rhodes Scholarship in 2003. At Oxford, he earned two master's degrees, one in forced migration and the other in public policy in Latin America. He earned his Juris Doctor from Yale Law School in 2011 and began work for the San Francisco Public Defender's Office as a post-doctoral fellow in 2012.
Before law school, Boudin traveled to Venezuela and served as a translator in the Venezuelan Presidential Palace during the administration of Hugo Chavez.
After law school, from 2011 to 2012, Boudin served as a law clerk to M. Margaret McKeown on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He was a 2012–2013 Liman Fellow at the San Francisco Public Defender's Office, and in 2013 and 2014, he served as a clerk to Charles Breyer on the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. In 2015, Boudin began working full-time at the San Francisco Public Defender's Office as a deputy public defender. While there, he argued on behalf of the office's clients that California's bail system is unconstitutional, leading to the published case In re Kenneth Humphrey, in which the state's First District Court of Appeals held that judges must give consideration to a defendant's ability to pay before setting bail.
Boudin also serves on the board of the Civil Rights Corps, a national non-profit organization, and is on the board of Restore Justice, a non-profit based in California.
Boudin translated Understanding the Bolivarian Revolution: by Hugo Chávez He works with Marta Harnecker, translating into English, Letters from Young Activists: Today's Young Rebels Speak Out, Boudin co-wrote The Venezuelan Revolution: 100 Questions – 100 Answers. His latest book, Gringo: A Coming of Age in Latin America, was released in April 2009 by Charles Scribner's Sons.
The District Attorney in San Francisco is a communist. The American voters put him in office. It is time for Americans to stand up to tyranny, Critical Race Theory, and any political theory contrary to American values.
The communists are taking over the United States of America.
It's time real Americans said, "Enough!"

As far as I can tell, the city of Hayward (where the crime occurred) is not located in the area that Chesa Boudin controls.

Compare Tulsa and Oklahoma city to San Franciso. Many metrics are worse in OK. Maybe OK has communist DAs as well?
I will grant you that I am not impressed with Chesa Boudin’s views or actions, but I can say the same thing about many politicians. There are politicians in my state on both the right and left that I despise for varied reasons.
“The District Attorney in San Francisco is a communist.” Well, not so sure about that. He is a self acknowledged socialist, but that is an entirely different thing than a communist.
“The American voters put him in office.” Yes, they did. And since neither of us are residents of the populace where he was elected, we don’t get a veto on how they vote. That is a good thing since I don’t want them having a veto on who we vote for either.
“It is time for Americans to stand up to tyranny, Critical Race Theory, and any political theory contrary to American values.” And this is where you lost me. What tyranny? And what does Critical Race Theory have to do with this particular burglary incident and this prosecutor’s actions? Are you saying that the people that elected him are not Americans because they don’t hold the same values you do? I would hesitate to go that far in condemning anyone, no matter how much I disagreed with them. In my view, the basic American values are liberty, equality, and self government – and I don’t see any of those things being taken away because he was elected the SF prosecuting attorney by his local constituency.
“The communists are taking over the United States of America.” Once again, I have seen no evidence that he is a communist. I also fail to see how a local prosecutor can take over a country, no matter how much they try.
It's time real Americans said, "Enough!" So apparently you are saying that the people who voted for him are not “real Americans”. This is where we part ways – permanently. I will never promote the idea that any voter cannot vote their conscience. Going down that road is a sure path to the destruction of our country.
Nancy O'Malley is the District Attorney for Alameda County where Hayward is located.
Walnut Creek where the Nordstrom was targeted is in Contra Costa County.
The DA is Diana Becton.
Stores were targeted in Beverly Hills. The DA is George Gascon.
To your point, about 12 stores were targeted in the city of San Francisco.
While some theft is under the purview of a DA, some prosecution is local.
Robbery is down 5% in San Francisco from the previous year, burglaries down 2.3% robbery is down down 14% from 2019 up 2.3% this year.
Organized theft rings can fall under the category of a felony in California as of July 2021.
WADE,
I don't think 'communists' were involved in Jan. 6th Capitol attack on our government, no. And I don't think that 'communists' carried out the torch light parades in Charlottesville, VA, either. My opinion, and I may be wrong. But it is very possible that you 'have hold of the wrong horror' to quote Flannery O'Connor, in your examination of attacks on our nation's government and people. I think you CAN be very concerned for how the Russian security forces under Putin have attempted to influence our politics, yes. But I don't think the enemy of democracy is an ambiguous 'communism' as the perpetrators of attacks seem to be coming from the extreme right, when you look (literally) at some of what has been happening on the national stage:
https://youtu.be/w-DPnaJZI_U
WADE, what my family who live in Charlottesville say is that it appeared that the torch-parade involved white supremacists, some with 'Nazi'-type anti-semitic slogans being shouted. The torch-parade participants were NOT from Charlottesville, which is a very civilized university town in VA.
Amidst all this trouble, I'm hopeful that we can, as Americans, spread the table on Thursday and give thanks to God, and also to 'share' with those in need as we are led to do so. Especially the old people and those who are disabled.
Neil,
Hawyord and San Francisco had brazen mall attacks during the same week. See https://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/local/san-francisco/san-francisco-district-attorney-to-announce-charges-in-union-square-retail-thefts/2739504/
I watch the news about California in Oklahoma. For those who wish to compare Tulsa and Oklahoma City to San Francisco and Hayward, all I can say is if an organized mob of rioters attempted such a robbery in either place, there would be a "shoot out at OK corral" between the armed citizens (most of whom carry in Oklahoma) and the robbers. It wouldn't happen here.
When comparing cities, I prefer to look up official crime stats rather than making judgements based on single events.
If I judged Oklahoma City based on single events, I would assume that everyone there was an anti government terrorist who likes to blow up federal buildings.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._states_and_territories_by_intentional_homicide_rate
When it comes to homicide, California is safer than Oklahoma
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._states_and_territories_by_violent_crime_rate
When it comes to violent crime rate, Oklahoma is safer than California.
In short, when in glass houses, be careful at what you aim at.
The rhetoric Wade used in this post comes straight out of the John Birch Society video endorsed by the San Francisco Sheriffs Association.
'radical releaser', son of terrorists, 'communist radical of sorts', (note the qualifier) \who may be funded by Soros.' (note the qualifier)
(The New American Video - Son of Terrorists Running for San Fran DA May 2019)
The truth is far more pedestrian.
His parents were incarcerated for their crime. (The Weathermen had been disbanded 4 years before the heist and murders, and the heist was carried out by a mish mash of radical left. The goal of the group was developing a peoples militia.
He was raised by former Weatherman who identified as small c communist, but who were never charged with anything because of illegal FBI behavior.
Boudin is a Rhodes scholar who clerked in South Africa during the dismantling of apartheid. He is non-violent. He spent his legal career, not as a prosecutor, but as a public defender. He believes in criminal justice reform, as did everyone running against him.
His platform was: ending cash bail, close a substandard jail floor where 75% of the incarcerated were mental health sufferers and substance abusers, and change how the system dealt with victimless crimes and prosecute law enforcement that committed crimes.
The Birchers don't see him as a real American - whatever that is.
40% of arrests in San Francisco are black, 85% of people jailed in San Francisco are mentally ill, are substance abusers, or both.
Bottom line: The Birchers, conservatives and some in the system didn't want a public defender as DA. They wanted a hard nosed prosecutor who would toe their line.
For me, the statement on the VDO by the San Francisco Police Chief says it all,
"If I'm doing these types of things and am allowed to get away with it,over and over and over again, what's the incentive to stop doing it?" (In other words, what's the use of arresting them when the politicians are simply going to put the criminals back on the streets as soon as they are booked?)
THAT is the description of the unprecedented trend of lawlessness that we see displayed in cities ran by leftist politicians during these past couple of years.
Come on guys! Surely you recognize this upheaval caused by the anarchistic policies like de-funding police, catch and release, no bail required for release, and outright anarchy caused by politicians calling off the police from doing their jobs. Yes, we can argue what city's rate of crime is worse than another, but to even make such comparisons which in effect defend or excuse that lawlessness taking place so openly and in defiance of the police as seen in San Francisco displays exactly why this nation is headed down a steep spiral into the abyss. Your defense of them is becoming (or more accurately, has become) the majority of sentiment!
More than those leftist/Marxist politicians, the element that concerns me the most are those who continually strive to support them and defend the consequences of carnage that their ideologies produce. As shown by the majority of comments on this post.
Go ahead and celebrate the predominance of your position because I truly do not anticipate seeing the momentum of your movement being defeated until the United States is in total ruin.
There may be some blips on the radar screen that display some resistance to the leftist/Marxist movement that is growing by leaps and bounds, like the upcoming "Mid-term-elections", but that will only be that, "blips" of temporary interruption by conservatives in the Marxist movement. The leftist movement will again regain its momentum as society continues to be enchanted with freebies like, forgiven college loans paid for by we tax-payers, government provided income paid by increased taxes on the upper middle class, free income, medical provisions, education for illegal aliens, etc.
I do not personally anticipate this country (or on a global scale for that matter), returning to a state where capitalist ideology accompanied with an emphasis on law and order, immigration control enforcement, moral integrity, etc., reigns, ever again.
So cheer on those having fun running in and out of the stores with their trunks loaded with stolen merchandise. Surely those high-ended merchandisers can afford to take the hit and continue to re-stock in time for the next wave of shoplifters! It makes one feel good and all warm and fuzzy inside to consider all the rich Christmas mornings that are going to take place in the homes of those making the heists!
Amidst all this trouble,
I'm hopeful that we can, as Americans, spread the table on Thursday
and give thanks to God,
and also to 'share' with those in need as we are led to do so.....

and those who are disabled.
Let's not forget this is a time of blessing and of thankfulness in our land.

Lord, Be Thou My Vision - A Thanksgiving Poem by Wade Burleson
The Bible says, “In everything give thanks,”
but this is hard if I may be frank.
In my life there’s so much tension,
for this to happen, “Lord, Be Thou My Vision.”
Luther cried “this world with devils filled,”
a knowledge that seems to take away the will
to accept my “giving thanks” mission.
So I ask, “Lord, Be Thou My Vision.”
The darkness hides Your smiling face.
Pressing on requires amazing grace.
I cannot see good with any precision,
I must pray “Lord, Be Thou My Vision.”
Your power and love to me please show,
and grant that I'll be able to know,
that when I make a “thanks giving” decision
I am experiencing “Lord, Be Thou My Vision.”
So I pause and choose to give thanks today,
and join with my family and friends to say,
“We trust Your gracious, abounding provision,
for You have become our Thanksgiving vision.”

Amen, Christiane.
Bene, the so-called "rhetoric" you mention comes from Wikapedia. :) Word for word.
I looked at Wikepedia - but also other sources, including campaign information.
I looked at and read several interviews with him.
Show me what is word for word - that was not a primary source.
The labelling from the John Birch Society and Sheriffs Association may well be in Wiki.
What they said is public record.
Wikipedia did list some of his articles - he cares about kids whose parents are incarcerated, overbooking and prison visitation policies.
Boudin is not a communist, or a Marxist.
He is a progressive Democrat.
I guess that makes him a communist/marxist/socialist to some.
He joins a beleaguered group of DA's around the country who are working to change how the criminal justice system does business.
All moot - the second recall petition was successful and the vote will be in June.
Safter SF Without Boudin has some big money behind it. As of November 1st, they had 1.5 million.
The recall website needs to update, there have been arrests in some of the cases.
As well, there were several arrests in the San Fran looting spree yesterday and more coming.
CBS - KPIX - Boudin: " “I want to be clear about something. These are not petty thefts. This is not misdemeanor conduct. This is felony conduct and we are charging felonies today,"
What I think isn't worth spit. We don't elect our Crown attorneys, and as a result, there is less political drama.:^)
Unintended consequences.
Californians voted for the "Safe Neighborhoods and Schools Act" (Proposition 47) which reclassified theft of material less than $950 from a felony to a misdemeanor. Therefore, the police are unlikely to take action and the result has been that people literally walk into stores with garbage bags, fills them and walk out. (Prop 47: https://www.courts.ca.gov/prop47.htm)
With this kind of law on the books, "crime" decreases because no one is recording the criminal activity as criminal. Beware the propaganda machine. Statistics can be used to prove anything.
Because of this Walgreens has closed 17 stores in the Bay Area. This is leaving people without easy access to pharmaceuticals that they need.
Unfortunately, following the criminal history of the evil person who drove the Christmas parade in Waukesha shows the results of watching out for the criminals with greater enthusiasm than the victims.
The AP has a piece titled “Child is 6th death in Waukesha parade crash; suspect charged” (https://apnews.com/article/milwaukee-00641efceaf200ce2c3fbf5e5200be13). That sort of language makes it sound like it was an accident. “An 8 year old boy became the sixth person to die Tuesday as a result of a man driving his SUV into a suburban Milwaukee Christmas parade……A uniformed police officer who saw (name deleted to give no fame) ‘the’ SUV traveling toward the parade route also tried to get his attention, yelling “Stop, stop the vehicle” several times but was ignored, according to the complaint. ……the SUV “continued to drive in a zig zag motion. It was like the SUV was trying to avoid vehicles, not people. There was no attempt made by the vehicle to stop, much less slow down.”
Language. It makes it sound like the red SUV was at fault rather than a man who has a very long rap sheet and was out on bond after allegedly running over the mother of this child.
Ruth-
In reference to your comments, Socialists and Communists are defined as different. BUT, as my dear dad said one time, "Socialists and Communists are 'evil kissing cousins'! THEY BOTH do not represent nor advocate for the principles that our beloved country was founded on."
It's Thanksgiving and I am grateful for my homeland, America. I'm praying that God blesses America AND that HE saves America from the insidious citizens who have no regard for life and liberty!
Hope everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving...

The 'socialist/communist' label goes way back among those seeking power through fear-mongering, sadly. But when it came time to really WORRY about Russian Security Forces manipulating our social media to favor Putin's candidate for President, no 'red lights' were raised by our American right wing conservatives.
I am aware of the history of the old Russia with its vassels/slaves belonging to land owners who could beat them and even kill them without accountability and how the concept of 'freedom' among these poor serfs was never experienced, not in 'hopes' or 'dreams' in a land where the 'masters' ruled with the whip and chain, and the serfs 'obeyed' and were seen as 'part of the land owned by the masters.
So, in Russia, then came the Czars (from the word for Caesar), but still the dichotomy was always the rich had the power and the poor remained without hope for better UNTIL a revolution happened with supposedly 'the people' taking over and the 'rulers' deposed. The way it was done was brutal, even in the murders of the Czar and his family. But 'the people' remained without hope, having NO HISTORY LIKE THAT OF WESTERN CULTURE WHERE 'DEMOCRACY' DEVELOPED, and 'communism' failed as a way of life.
Then the dissolution of the USSR and the coming of the 'presidents' until the dictator Putin arrived, rewarding his supporters with wealth (they were called the 'oligarchs') and STILL the Russian people, if they sought to speak out for better, were silenced, imprisoned, or if in another country, poisoned by Putin's assasins.
Putin is 'ex KGB' full stop.
The REASON today's McCarthyism-type 'anti-communist/socialist' fear-mongering fails in the USA is that our people HAVE a history of Western Civilization that SAW the development and refinement of DEMOCRACY, from the ancient Greeks and Romans (the Republic), to the growth of an awareness that there was dignity in the human person that required representation and KING JOHN in England was confronted and his supreme 'rights' were challenged and a document formed called the
MAGNA CARTA, this:
https://youtu.be/7xo4tUMdAMw
Thank you for letting me tell WHY I am more hopeful that we have 'inherited' a concept of liberty and 'the rule of law' and of the DIGNITY of the human person as the concept of our American government has been based on ideas and concepts that have come down through the centuries as developed historically from our 'western' civilization.
McCarthyism? It doesn't work HERE, in our land. It never did. I hope it never will.
Please bear with me on this comment.
Something must be possible to be tempted to do it. For instance, none of us will be tempted to go to the sun.
With that thought:
“Next the devil took him to the peak of a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. “I will give it all to you” he said, …” (Matthew 4:8-9 NLT)
What the devil said was true, if he was lying, Jesus would have laughed in his face.
Jesus never explained that the world was round and huge. Everyone thought it was small and flat. What the devil showed Jesus was more of a ‘vision’.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING
Hey REX RAY,
I'm up late cooking all night for tomorrow's feast.

""The Biblical meaning of temptation is 'a trial in which man has a free choice of being faithful or unfaithful to God'. Satan encouraged Jesus to deviate from the plan of his father by misusing his authority and privileges. Jesus used the Holy Scripture to resist all such temptation. When we are tempted, the solution is to be sought in the Bible."[51]
In the temptations, according to Benedict XVI, Satan seeks to draw Jesus from a messianism of self-sacrifice to a messianism of power: "in this period of "wilderness"... Jesus is exposed to danger and is assaulted by the temptation and seduction of the Evil One, who proposes a different messianic path to him, far from God's plan because it passes through power, success and domination rather than the total gift of himself on the Cross. This is the alternative: a messianism of power, of success, or a messianism of love, of the gift of self."[52]

REX RAY, I left you a note on the last post re: fire ants and Thanksgiving :)
It does look as though 'temptation' to RULE OVER (be dominant over) is a part of the 'curse' of the Fall in Eden; because the Christian answer to dominating over others using power and control is to 'give of self' in service to others . . . Christ was tempted by satan ('the tempter') but Our Lord chose His Own way to save humankind: He gave Himself willingly as a sacrifice for our redemption, and He did this out of love for us while we were 'still sinners'.
I'd say satan 'failed' in his mission, sure. Our Lord did not choose to 'rule' a fallen mankind, no;
instead He chose to be a willing sacrifice in order to save mankind.
'temptation' is NOT the same thing as 'sin', no
in order to 'sin', you must be a freely willing participant in the act of sinning
CHRISTIANE,
My worst experience with fire ants:
A broken limb needed to be removed that was in front of our house. I parked our pick-up with a ladder in the bed, and started sawing the limb.
I didn’t know I’d been standing in fire ants while putting the ladder in the bed of the truck.
They didn’t sting me while standing on them, because I was wearing a ‘compression sock’ up to my knee for my bad ankle. I was sawing on the limb when they got past the sock. The pain was such a shock I knocked the ladder over and kept from falling by holding on to the limb.
No one was near enough to hear me holler. I finally moved across the limb and retrieved the ladder that was caught by some other limbs.
After getting on the ground, I removed my cloths and knocked the ants off before going in the house.
I was thankful I wasn’t wearing my ‘compression sock’ that covered all my leg.
Good grief!
"I was thankful I wasn’t wearing my ‘compression sock’ that covered all my leg"
REX RAY, that does sound like a good reason to be thankful!
