One of My Members Believes God May Very Well Be an Oklahoma Sooner Fan

I was sent the following prophecy for today's game from one of the members of our church. It is from Psalm 75:4-6 (KJV). I will reserve my judgment on the prophecy until Saturday at 6:00 p.m. central time.

“I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn (Texas?): Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck. For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south [so it seems it comes from the north? Oklahoma?]. But God is the judge: he putteth down one (Texas), and setteth up another (Oklahoma).”

Go Sooners!

Okay. Now you are talking heresy for sure. Hook 'em Horns!

Pastor Wade,

Yea, verily, and so did the godly Cowboys subdue the heathen aggies as those who are unfaithful to the LORD.

May He cause His face to shine upon the Sooners, visiting His wrath upon the horned devils.

Prophetically yours, Lee

Don’t mean to spoil your fun, but our dad said many are going to hell with a football under their arm.

It’s good to take a break on all these serious things. Our 10 year old grandson was being questioned by his parents why he ran so slow when he had the football.

He wisely replied: “It doesn’t hurt so much when you’re tackled.”

He also told his mother, “You shouldn’t yell at us.” (Has sister 12)
“Why are you saying that?!”
“I read your ‘parent book’.”

At 3, he was balling his head off after learning from a cow skull that cows die and people die.

“Don’t cry, we’ll all go to heaven and be happy.”
“I don’t want to go to heaven; I like this planet.”

Yep, if you’re going to hijack a post, what’s a better way to do it?

I like the verses, but think the prophecy of the north is about Nebraska on the 16th.

Go Big Red!!

I am an SEC fan, but it's good to see the great tradition and rivalry you guys have out there.

If God were not a UT fan, why did he make the good sunsets burnt orange?

Of course you may think that the very best ones are red.

God is clearly a Gator. He made the sun orange and the sky blue.

I can cheer for OU as well as TX, since most all the players from both teams are from the great state of TX. :)

I think that the expectation of the early church was that God would turn out Sooner, but He seems to be inclined differently.

We'll not comment on the golden calf, no matter how big the horns are.

We shall, rather, cheer for what the Lord Almighty declared untouchable: The Hog.

I was still thinking of how LSU's perennial clock manipulation made fools of the SEC officials again today at the end of their game.

Some people turn to Sports, some people turn to Politics, Some people turn to Outdoor and Adventures, Some people turn to Religion......

But in the end, what is going to really matter?

It sure is not a football team or school
