I'm beginning to agree.
A new academic study titled “Learned control of urinary reflexes in cattle to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions” has just been published by Cell, an academic journal.According to these liberal Ivory Tower liberal academics who published the report:
“Young calves can be successfully trained to poop and pee in designated areas. And the researchers think if expanded on a broader scale, this practice could have a big impact on controlling ammonia waste — one of agriculture’s dirtiest greenhouse gas and pollution problems."Sixteen calves were essentially potty trained by animal psychologists at the Germany-based Research Institute for Farm Animal Biology.
“Cattle, like many other animals, are quite clever and they can learn a lot. Why shouldn’t they be able to learn how to use a toilet?” the researchers asked.The process, by the way, is called “MooLoo Training.”
If these liberal academics ever came to Oklahoma and attempted to coerce our dairy farmers and beef ranchers to potty train their cattle, they'd receive a quick lesson in Gun Safety.
I posted about liberals attempting to potty train cows on my Facebook page, and guess what? The liberal social media POLICE tagged my post (see below).

The America of our past is gone. What has taken its place is a milk-toast, weak-kneed, liberalism that will be the death of our great country. Radicals no longer need to march and shout "Death to America," hoping one day to conquer what they call "The Great Satan."
Liberalism has conquered us, and the asinine stupidity of those in charge of politics, academics, science, and the media have done a great job in bringing down a once-great country.
It's time to take it back.

Not enough facepalm emojis in the world for this.
WADE, when I saw the picture of the cow, my first thought was that the post had to do with the origin of the 'vaccination' process, being that the word 'vaccine' comes from 'vacca' which means 'cow'!
(Jenner's original experiments with cowpox in his development of a vaccination process against smallpox)

Wade,
No, it’s not time to take our country back; it’s past time.
Our present leaders don’t even have the brains of a cow.
Exhibit A of the “weak knees” aforementioned by article.
An “emoji” generation.
There is a 'prescription' in sacred Scripture for renewal in the land, this:
6 “Is not this the fast that I choose:
to loose the bonds of wickedness,
to undo the straps of the yoke,
to let the oppressed go free,
and to break every yoke?
7 Is it not to share your bread with the hungry
and bring the homeless poor into your house;
when you see the naked, to cover him,
and not to hide yourself from your own flesh?
8 Then shall your light break forth like the dawn,
and your healing shall spring up speedily;
your righteousness shall go before you;
the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.
9 Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer;
you shall cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’
If you take away the yoke from your midst,
the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness,
10 if you pour yourself out for the hungry
and satisfy the desire of the afflicted,
then shall your light rise in the darkness
and your gloom be as the noonday.
11 And the Lord will guide you continually
and satisfy your desire in scorched places
and make your bones strong;
and you shall be like a watered garden,
like a spring of water,
whose waters do not fail.
12 And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt;
you shall raise up the foundations of many generations;
you shall be called the repairer of the breach,
the restorer of streets to dwell in. "
WADE, I sense that Isaiah's Chapter 58 may not be exactly what you have in mind.
But there are elements in this prophetic chapter that may perhaps offer some direction, although I cannot know specifically where it is that you are going, nor how it is that you may choose to see your way forward.
CHRISTIANE,
I don’t see your quote from Isaiah having anything to do with the 12,000 people now living under a Texas bridge.
Biden doesn’t need to be impeached as much as he needs to under the care of a physiocratic hospital.
OTOH, some may see in the post more of the spirit of Milton's Samson Agonistes
'“But what more oft in Nations grown corrupt,
And by thir vices brought to servitude,
Than to love Bondage more than Liberty,
Bondage with ease than strenuous liberty;”
― John Milton, Samson Agonistes
However one evaluates 'the problem(s)' and seeks solution(s) to them, we cannot forget that without the gospel, there is only the darkness.

Pastor Robert Jeffress: ‘There is no credible religious argument against the vaccines’
https://www.christianpost.com/news/jeffress-no-credible-religious-argument-against-the-vaccines.html
There is no credible Christianity that berates people for making their own personal decisions with regard to their own health. How about them apples?
Scott,
If you're infected with a virus, you can pass it on to other people.
So if you're vaccinated, it's more difficult for a virus to spread to others.
So by being vaccinated, you are loving your neighbour and maybe even preventing their death.
REX RAY,
the Word of God is spoken to all humankind for all times, in all places, under all circumstances, and on into eternity
what portions of the Word would you see specifically addressing the Haitian refugees living under the bridge at the border? They ARE human persons made in the likeness of God.
that they were misinformed about the border being 'open' is true, but they trusted their 'sources' and having put their faith in those 'sources' the Haitian refugees found their way over to S. American and up through Central America to Mexico
My understanding is that they will be 'helped' with the necessities of life and some emergency medical care, as is right, and for the most part that they will be deported back to Haiti, and maybe sometime in future, Congress will see fit to address the immigration questions that need resolution according to law. (?)
I’m loving my neighbor whether he or I are vaccinated or not. Vaccinations are no barometer of love, silly rabbit.
Virus gonna do what a virus gonna do. Same with me.
Scott - Some verses about being a neighbour
Romans 13.10 "Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law."
1 Corinthians 10.24 "Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor"
I got vaccinated so that both my neighbour an I don't die of Covid.
And here: (Philippians 2.3-4)
"Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others."
This applies to us as Christians in a non believing world. We should put our own interests aside so that others may benefit. We put aside our "rights" because we have a responsibility to serve others.
Neil:
You and your neighbor could die of a gunshot wound and it might be written up ultimately as complications from COVID. Verses or no verses.
Neil:
To this Christian it applies only in the context to which and primarily to whom it was originally written, second to us as applicable and has not a bloody thing to do with the religio politics of COVID. Try another angle. I’m a ship that can’t be salvaged when it comes to that kind of ploy.
Okay Neil:
I count the liberty and freedom of my unvaccinated friends, family and neighbors more valuable than my own vaccinated illusion of protection from the grim reaper.
How does that work for ya and your proof text from Philippians?
Additionally Neil, i disagree with you on how your proof texts “apply”. The verse you reference is instruction to Christians on how to relate to other Christians. Your stretching the context is morei isogesis than exegesis .
The picture of the cow reminded me of this:
'The Way of Grace'
https://youtu.be/R0Pejj7l9hM
“Grace doesn’t try to please itself. Accepts being slighted, forgotten, disliked. Accepts insults and injuries.
“Nature only wants to please itself. Get others to please it too. Likes to lord it over them. To have its own way. It finds reasons to be unhappy when all the world is shining around it. And love is smiling through all things.
" ... no one who ever loves the way of grace ever comes to a bad end."

Scott,
I believe the Bible was written as much for us today as for the early church. To apply sections of scripture today requires thoughtfulness, as well as basic literature interpretation skills, such as examining the purpose of the test, the intended audience and the historical context.
The idea of looking for the needs of others is not something that can be isolated in the context of the church. Paul uses Christ as an example in Philippians 2.5-11, an example of humility that is applied universally. 2.14-15 says "Do all things without grumbling or disputing, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world" - the fact being that the relationship between Christians and the world is one in which the Christian acts as a light - something which fits into the literary context of 2.4 about not looking after your own needs but the needs of others.
To be clear here, I need to make the following points;
1. Covid is real and is killing people. Approximately 2% of people who get infected with Covid will die. That's the stats.
2. In order to prevent people from dying, governments the world over are trying to mitigate its spread through lockdowns, mask mandates and vaccinations. None of these policies are unbiblical or anti Christian.
3. Far too many Christians have believed various myths about Covid: that it is not serious; that the vaccines kill people; that governments all over he world are united in trying to control their citizens through the mitigtion strategies in 2) above.
4. It is wise for Christians to obey the government (Titus 3) in this case - to get vaccinated; to put masks on when required; to remain at home during lockdowns. Encouraging Christians to disobey government in this particular situation is sinful.
I was a little horrified at this, considering Cell an upper echelon journal, but this article was published by Current Biology, a journal published by Cell publishing company (but not Cell). Hair-splitting aside, if you need a touch of joy in your day, go to the article (https://www.cell.com/current-biology/fulltext/S0960-9822(21)00966-0) and watch the video of the cow urinating for a treat. She is so polite, checking both ways before walking into the stall, making certain that it is not full. However, her stall hygiene leaves a little to be desired -- she urinates in the direction of the treat dispenser. I know...everyone is a critic.
I direct you to the article just because....to read it is to be a little horrified. What are we to do with the 30% of the cattle that fail to meet the goal? What happens when they get performance anxiety, are ostracized by the remaining herd (which is likely to happen). We know there will next to a study on "No Cow Left Behind." What about the cost of creating cow latrines, cow treat dispensers, etc. My. Oh. My.

Now, off topic as this discussion thread has wandered:
A lot to think about this week with the FDA failing to follow the lead of the Biden administration. Keep in mind that the safety set presented to the FDA was (I believe) a total of 300 souls. Much of the FDA meeting was talking to Israel about their experience, which, at one point, they say is not to be considered in the approval, but as much as I love what Israel is doing through the pandemic (they are tracking the disease better than the US), despite their booster campaign, they are in the middle of a 4th surge right now. (https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/israel/ Scroll down to see daily infection graph). In my mind, if the booster was helping, it should have really flattened that surge. Are we seeing something else?
On the FDA meeting, they gloss over this surge blaming it on opening of schools and the recent holiday, but their daily deaths has also had a similar shaped bump, so I am left wondering .... why? I need a lot more information to think about this, but I certainly think it is very concerning. Concerns about developing antibody dependent enhancement, etc., can not be ignored.
Anyone who has time, the 8 hour FDA meeting is here: https://youtu.be/WFph7-6t34M It is filled with information. I am shocked that Pfizer had such a poor audio connection for the meeting (most of their attempts to comment are not audible because of echo). At the end, the head of the committee is obviously tired of that. BTW, I have not listened to the meeting in its entirety. There is a section where people are allowed to give their views (around hour 4 or 5 I believe.....) -- not certain how people got on the list to present but the data/concerns that they provide is food for thought.
With respect to obeying the government, I do not think that God calls us to obey the government. If so, that gives everyone in Nazi Germany a pass (or any other evil, corrupt government). I am repeatedly drawn to Matthew 7:15, "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves." (NIV). God calls on us to be discerning not robots.
Neil:
You may be thoughtful. But your exegesis of Scripture sucks IMO and respectfully. Sell it to Ed Litton.
Anon E Moose,
Your comment is a classic.
I laughed out loud.
Scott,
Okay, I'm ready. Explain in detail why my exegesis sucks.

Cows have also been trained to “milk themselves.” There are dairies that are automated and the cows have devices that scan their information at the barn door when they want to be milked, let’s them in and totally automated, machines attach to their teats and milk them. It frees up the Dairy farmer and let’s the cows set their own schedule. Is this liberal hogwash also? What’s wrong with cows peeing somewhere where it doesn’t flow into the local creek or river. I live in a rural area with lots of cows and there is not a stream or river around here that I would take a drink from due to run off from the fields into the creeks which then feeds into streams and then rivers. Let’s face it cows are big polluters. If you don’t accept that then you’ve never been around a large amount of cattle. I am guessing that your biggest hang up with this is that it addresses climate change which is a big deal for you conservatives. I don’t really know why since God gave us dominion over all the Earth you would think He would want us to take care of it. Also you go on and on about how this is just the end of the world for our Nation but the study was done in Germany. Hum, it’s almost like you just twisted this story around to fit a narrative that you wanted to present in order to rile folks up about those gosh darn liberals.
Scott,
I have three commentaries on Philippians. One by Ralph Martin, another by Alec Motyer, and another by Peter O'Brien. I've checked all three commentaries on 2.3-4 and they do not contradict what I say.
Moreover they can be linked to the Parable of the Good Samaritan, in which a neighbour is defined as anyone. The Samaritan helped the beaten-up victim, while two religious people walked by. Samaritans were not part of Israel at the time and weren't God's people. The point Jesus makes, which is backed up by Philippians 2.3-4, is that everyone is our neighbour, even those outside the people of God, and that we should love them and look to their needs.
I implore you, Scott, to submit yourself to the Word of God, and to the Holy Spirit - the author of the Word, who uses it as his sword.
Neil:
You’re just more fun than a barrel of monkeys aren’t you?
I implore you to submit to a licensed mental therapist.

Most every item you own including your face creams and iPhones are petroleum based products. Toss everything you own or use that is petroleum based and I might be more willing to hear your views on “climate change”, which has been going on since creation unfolded.
Scott Shaver,
Maybe we should take up a collection to buy you a computer so you’d stop making so many duplicate comments with whatever you’re using.
Someone said to destroy America, there’s no better plan than what Biden is doing or not doing.
Scott,
Welcome to my world.
Mr. Oversight sent letters to members of Emmanuel, a church with which is not affiliated nor has ever been affiliated. He called for my removal. Mr. Oversight sends the emails from Tanzania to the member's private email addresses. Members think his actions are more than a little creepy since they've known me for over 30 years and they have no clue who this man is. They asked that the emails be turned over to the police in Mr. Oversight's country. For some reason, he believes he is God's mouthpiece to the world and must give oversight to people who don't ask for it.
I'm used to it. :)
Years ago, the Governor of Colorado, Richard Lamm, said there were seven steps that great Nations were destroyed.
One step was:
“Make it impossible to enforce our immigration laws.”
"The America of our past is gone."/"Liberalism has conquered us, and the asinine stupidity of those in charge of politics, academics, science, and the media have done a great job in bringing down a once-great country."
Some might say that Wade's comments express that of "defeatism" or "extreme pessimism". I assess is as being an "objective assessment of reality".
Why?
1. The Regime that assumed control of this nation has instigated measures to assure the continuation of the current ideologies and control;
- Domination of the propaganda machine that programs the thought-process/outcome of the majority of the population ("1984"?). This society has surrendered its ability to personally rationalize and objectively evaluate information to the dictates of what it is fed through the powerful, multi-faceted, information machine under the control of the current regime; i.e., “Invasion of the Body Snatchers”.
Case in point: I invited a couple to dinner recently. One was anxious to come but called a bit later after my invitation to say that the other person did not feel comfortable coming to our house due to my wife and I having COVID last month. This rationale applied after the couple had just returned from an extended trip out west, flying on an airplane with 300+ people crowded together like sardines, eating in a variety establishments and mingling with thousands at the airport. "Rationale"? Makes sense to those programmed by the Regime's propaganda machine.
2. Say what you will, but the electoral process has been hi-jacked by the current regime to assure its continuation and eliminating any hope of a change in those in power.
Manipulation has taken place to assure control of the electoral process to the “Regime’s” advantage. This has been achieved primarily through facilitating fraudulent ballot box stuffing and entry by millions of illegals entering the country who will soon be given citizenship and voting rights. The Regime is accurately assuming that this new and significant voter segment will favor their benefactor who facilitated their entry into the country and provided their status as “citizens” along with the promise of continued provisions for their livelihood.
Partnered with the aforementioned control of the "propaganda machine", these measures assure the impregnable continuation of the Regime's control and impossibility of its being replaced.
3. The use of COVID panic is obviously (to those few who maintain an ability to objectively assess information) a primary factor used to the advantage of the Regime's continuation. COVID’s exaggerated impact is facilitated by the manipulation of numbers and biased reports which assures "COVID'S" validity as a key instrument for the benefit of the regime at this time.
In addition, the Regime assures the strength of COVID's strategic usefulness and spread through its policy-applications. Particularly useful are the Regime's policy-measures taken to increase the influx of COVID-infected millions through the illegal entry of immigrants surging across the southern border followed by their intentional deployment throughout the nation.
Eventually the presence of the Regime's power-players will be so embedded as to not be so reliant upon the "Covid" panic and only then will we see the pandemic cease to dominate the media propaganda department.
For these reasons I concur that the “United States of America” so revered by many of us has in effect “Gone With The Wind”.
Rex:
I apologize to Wade and everybody for the duplicate comments. It is painfully obvious that I should go back to an Android burner and that my aspirations of becoming a marketing rep for IPhone have been shattered to smithereens
Wow.
Positively off the rails. I’m getting used to it.
Rex:
I agree. Nobody could tear up a solid steel ball quicker than Biden.
"For some reason, he believes he is God's mouthpiece to the world and must give oversight to people who don't ask for it."
I think you might be describing yourself there, Wade.
Mr. Oversight,
I write on my blog that people must intentionally "click" to read. I send no unsolicited emails, I speak only when asked, and I respect people who disagree.
Blessings! I pray that your past dalliance with oversight of our church members (unsolicited) has humbled you.
Neil:
Don’t you have a brown shirt meeting or a government police state action you need to attend or something?
Penny
All this talk about cows has compelled me to the back porch where two big ribeyes are now searing on the hot grill with mesquite smoke. I love cattle, please God, multiply cattle across the fruited plane. Open range and steak houses for all is my dream.
Contradiction is one thing Neil, agreement, however, is an entirely different breed of cat. Even the Bible Answer Man, Ralph Martin will tell you that. Nice try but no cupie doll for you.
Neil:
Perhaps I should join in the fun. Would you care to be put in touch with the pastor and deacon body of my church so you can explain the need to revoke my membership standing for heretical beliefs?
Your beliefs aren't heretical Scott. They're just wrong. Though I do naturally have questions about the maturity and strength of your faith.
If you wish me to contact one of your elders or deacons, I can tell him about our online conversation and see what happens.
