Wade is a well-known Christian communicator. He spoke at Falls Creek, the world's largest youth camp (Oklahoma), July 5-9, 2021. Nearly 500 youth made decisions for Christ that week. God mightily used Wade Morris.
It's not clear if Wade caught Covid-19 at Falls Creek or at two other youth camps (in other states) where he spoke after the week of Falls Creek. What is clear is that Wade Morris died of complications from Covid-19.
Covid-19 is a killer. It uses a synthetically made and patented spike protein to penetrate your cells and clot your blood. If those micro-clots make it to your lungs, heart, or brain, you may die. Which laboratory created the unique spike protein of Covid-19 is still under scientific and government investigation.
The problem we Americans now face is "What do we do about Covid-19?"
Government officials are demanding that businesses require a Covid-19 vaccination from Moderna, Pfizer, or Johnson and Johnson before allowing admittance into their private business. I understand the public health rationale behind those demands.
Employers are now beginning to demand vaccinations from employees to continue their employment. These companies believe that they are doing the humane thing for the nation. I respect the right of a company to make the decision they deem best.
I am not against Covid-19 vaccinations, nor steps taken to "mitigate Covid-19." I respect and affirm every single action others take in attempting to mitigate the disease.
I have a close friend who works at the National Institutes of Health. He is a medical doctor, a research scientist, and a renowned professor of chemistry. His credentials are impeccable. He caught me after church this past Sunday and said, "Wade, I beg you! Listen to me. I beg you, get vaccinated!"
My response to my NIH friend probably speaks for millions of other Americans as well.
"I appreciate your concerns for my life. I want you to hear me clearly. I am not against vaccination. I do not discourage others from getting vaccinated. Truth be known, the elderly, obese, and people with co-morbidities (diabetes, heart disease, etc.) seem at greater risk of death by not getting vaccinated. However, I have made the personal decision not to be vaccinated. I've tested positive for Covid-19 twice. I believe that I have developed some natural immunity. I eat a low sugar diet and take Vitamin D and Zinc every morning. I am not obese, I exercise regularly, and I have no interest in getting vaccinated. Again, I do not discourage others from getting vaccinated, but no amount of encouragement will get me vaccinated. In my mind, the courage to stand by my decision NOT to be vaccinated is a greater help to my fellow Americans than my acquiescance to private or public pressure to be vaccinated. If I die of Covid, I die of Covid. I am quite comfortable dying. I am also quite comfortable with ridicule, discomfort, and banishment from public events or travel. That said, if I end up not being in the 1% who die of Covid (vaccinated or not), then by my actions, I will have done all I can to continue promoting and protecting your personal liberty and individual self-government in America. A nation whose citizens lose individual liberty is but one step from national tyranny. I know what is best for me and my family, and I politely tell you that no amount of persuasion will change my mind. I am informed. I am intentional. I know that am not invincible. But I stand firm. If my words irritate you because you believe that I am putting "other people at risk," then I remind you what you've told me of the vaccine, "It doesn't prevent the spread of Covid-19, it only mitigates the symptoms." I am mitigating the symptoms in the ways that I deem best for myself. I also believe my firm "No" to the pressure to vaccinate is best for this country. I am thinking of the bigger principle at stake and base my actions accordingly. I ask that you respect me and my decision as much as I respect you and your decision."
We, of course, ended our conversation with expressions of mutual respect.
The Bible states clearly what puts people into bondage:
"People, through fear of death are all their lifetimes subject to bondage." (Hebrews 2:15).
I am not afraid of dying. Neither is my friend who got vaccinated. He is genuinely concerned for me. True love, however, involves persuasion, never coercion. That's why he and I respect one another. We love each other.
Your fear of death places people around you in bondage. I refuse to be placed in bondage anyone's fear. Get your vaccine. Do what is best for you. Just don't tread on me because I am deeply convinced that what I am doing is best for both you and me.
I strongly desire that we Americans not lose our personal liberties. A Founding Father of America once declared, "Give me liberty or give me death." In my mind, that statement is as important in 2021 as it was in 1776.
I'm more comfortable with dying than I am with the loss of your liberty. If you don't see how vaccine passports, mandatory vaccinations, and demands for conformity more closely resemble tyranny than liberty, then you'll never understand me or my position.
But that's okay.
We both have compassion for people like Wade Morris and others who have been devastated by Covid-19. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Morris family.
Covid-19 is very serious. So is the threat of tyranny.
We'll both do what we believe is best to stop the spread of each.

I too, have not had any Covid-19 shots. Now I’ve had many ‘shots’ such as Flue-shots. Got a tetanus shot for my ankle this month. I believe the best medicine is what God gave us; our immunity. To help immunity, I take 39 Shaklee vitamins that are not synthetic but made from food.
The slide got six more trips yesterday, as my brother’s daughter and her family from Washington came for our family reunion. She was glad to be 700 on the slide list. They also added some more of her father’s ashes at his headstone.

The statement that, "It doesn't prevent the spread of Covid-19, it only mitigates the symptoms," is untrue. It is true that the human trial regimens for COVID-19 vaccine candidates focused on serious symptoms, but the mechanism is plain, and with 8 months of real-world data it easy to observe that vaccinated persons are less likely to become infected and even then are more likely to fight off their infections sooner.
It remains prudent to avoid large gatherings, maintain some social distancing and reduce the spread of aerosolized respiratory droplets to slow the spread and protect young children and those with suppressed immune response, but the only way we actually *beat* this virus is through widespread vaccination. It is a matter of public health, not a personal elective "procedure".

There will be some break through cases both in immunized and non-immunized previously infected people, but those numbers will be low. I work with a person that has had the miserable luck of having lightening strike twice (she told me she feels like she is living in some sort of weird hoax). Really doubt I will get sick despite forced proximity at work. That’s what the vaccination is for. Not concerned about whether I have sticky virus hanging onto my nasal mucosa…unless I am sneezing or failing to wash my hands, if I do, I don't expect it to aerosolize or move. Multiple studies have shown that asymptomatic likely do not spread the 'rona, but the CDC never references that data. They also never discuss "natural" immunity (which failed my friend). Last year, I found it interesting that the guidelines for "high risk exposure" for health care workers differed from that of the populace......hmmmm.
One of the studies that the CDC used to suggest that we need to mask again is based on an Indian study where a different vaccine was given (not obviously appropriate to expand to the US. https://www.researchsquare.com/article/rs-637724/latest.pdf). The possibility of increased transmission was based on a difference in amplification times for symptomatic breakthrough infections in health care workers that “clustered” in hospitals (30 symptomatic HCW among a total of 3800 over a 2 month period (March, April 2021). With the finding that it might be more transmissible based on clustering with a possible super spreader event (but 30/3800 vaccinated is 00.7% infected), they expanded to two more hospital systems for a total of approximately 200 SYMPTOMATIC breakthrough infections out of a total of 8900 vaccinated HCW (or a 2.2% infection rate over 2 months. They found delta and non-delta virus in the sampling. For the delta virus it took 16 cycles, for the non-delta virus 19 (so delta was present in 8 fold lower concentration). However, there are so many different potential explanations for that conclusion that I would not use that to say that breakthrough symptomatic infections in HCW harboring the delta virus is reason enough to tell vaccinated people who are asymptomatic that they need to mask up. They do a lot of in vitro work which is interesting, but doesn't necessarily prove that it is operational in vivo. They show that antibody levels between infected versus non-infected HCW seemed equivalent......all a lot of handwaving but enough to push us back into masks?
The reality — all of us were placed on this earth to die. It is up to us to make the most of the time that we are given. Living in fear in my home— I am done with that. Listening to the fear mongering propagated by our authorities? Getting a little done with that too. All of it makes me feel twitchy. Two weeks to flatten the curve made sense when death rates of 10-20% were being quoted……but the goal posts keep moving. If the current goal is to have no cases of the ‘rona, we are doomed because I have become convinced that the ‘rona is with us to stay (not my previous theory, but.....alas, my previous theory seems very wrong these days).
In the US currently, approximately 380 people are dying of COVID per day nationwide. 1700 are dying per day of heart disease. 1600 of cancer. 473 from accidents. The current COVID death rate is a tenth of what it was at its peak.
My church is on the verge of shutting down because the “authorities…..”. Is the work of our God so unimportant that we just shut it all down to stay safe? The answer for this lost soul has been “yes.” Through this pandemic, my faith in God has strengthened but my faith in the secular church has waned. I am having a hard time putting that together. If, through the grace of God we are saved, why are we so afraid of dying? Don’t get me wrong — I don’t want to die. I spent decades of my life in the wrong space, and there is so much living that I want to do now that I *finally* seem to be beginning to figure it out. When this thing started, the the quotes of 20% mortality were being bandied around, God and I had quite a few conversations. I am good with whatever His plan for me may be. I am not good with bowing to authorities who are now operating off of flimsy, mis-represented and cherry picked evidence that seems determined to separate the community of Christ.
Americans are a pretty arrogant bunch, except for this new trend of never ending self flagellation……we would do well to see what other countries have done. Sweden kind of did nothing (not really, but close). Yes, their numbers were a bit worse than their nearest neighbors, but certainly better than other countries (US deaths 1,800/million population, Sweden 1,438 deaths/million population, India 305 deaths/million population, UK 1,900 deaths/million population (data found on the world infometer site). The Swedes were soundly criticized by the media last year (cause the media…..well, they seem to be set on presenting a certain narrative), yet now they have hardly any cases and they have next to zero deaths currently. Of those 14,600 Swedish deaths attributed to COVID, nearly 6,000 were age 80-90, 3,800 90 and above and mere 37 were 29 years of age and less. Perhaps, natural immunity is important and can be used. Yet, now that we (meaning the US) are on this crazy road of no death to the ‘rona (btw, if you want to have a risk free life, don’t get in a car, don’t walk on stairs, don’t walk in socks, don’t walk outside, don’t turn on your stove, don’t take a bath, don’t take a shower…..oh, and don’t get older…age has a significant risk of bad things happening……(written sarcastically)).
I am not a Bible scholar, but through the talks that God and I have been having, the answer for me is “Fear not and know that I am God.” I honestly believe that it is a sickness in our country that we have allowed ourselves to be afraid. God calls us not to be afraid. (The decision to vaccinate or not would go on for another umpteen paragraphs…..). We should be wise, we should be discerning. We should watch for the wolf among the sheep, but we should always fear not and know that He is our God.

AMAZING that there has been a VERY significant drop in COVID in India where only 7% of the people have been vaccinated and according to the experts their combined conditions should result in a total annihilation of the Indian population!
No, Dystopos, reality seems to be that you and all of the other "vac' proponents, mask proponents, "shut-down" proponents are flailing in the air like someone trying to eradicate a swarm of pesky gnats flying around their head.
In times past, we could expect flu virus' to simply disappear when they eventually went through their cycle and left, like a swarm of gnats, when their pesky presence eventually disappears when the gnats decided to move on. Flu virus' did the same.
However, there has been some very unprecedented, queer, aspects of this COVID that is unlike all other "natural" virus events. Yet nobody will ever convince me that the reported "missing vials" of experimental, engineered, flu viruses from CDC and reported in "USA Today" (Published 11:18 a.m. ET Jan. 4, 2017/Updated 7:11 p.m. ET Jan 4, 2017) should not have been seriously investigated as a possible source for the release of this "COVID" type virus. As reported in that "USA Today" article;

For those who 'test God' by setting up situations where they put themselves and others in danger, I think there is a 'disconnect' with the old understandings about people of faith 'testing' God in ways that were considered wrong. It might be better to stop shooting the ones who bring the blessing of medical relief from terrible afflictions and see them in a new light as one possible way the Good Lord has opened His Hand to us in blessing. (?) Think about this. Do we even recognize a fraction of the tremendous graces God sheds on His creatures out of love? Or in what 'form' His blessings come to us?

I have no right to be disrespectful regarding that because I know it is meant to be given out of concern for others. Most people who do that, like you, do not intentionally do it in a way that is condescending or self-elevating. I would say that most of my dear friends have taken the vacs. Most do not even talk about it.
I did have one friend in church who went on his own rant last Sunday when he and I were alone and setting up the coffee pots. He was angry at people who have not got the vacs and said he thought they were crazy, etc. He doesn't know that I have not had mine. I would have told him had he asked. Even though he was quite passionate about everyone needing to get the vacs, I know his heart and that he was speaking in love, even though he was speaking in love as a retired Navy Chief, which typically comes across in a pretty rough and straightforward way.
So forgive me if I allow my passion about what I see as the implementation by some very unscrupulous folks way up in the food chain who have their own hidden motives that are not genuine and straightforward. I feel like someone being bullied and victimized due to systems being used against me and all common folk in an oppressive and dictatorial manner.
I know that is not Dystopos is not part of that. Neither is my doctor who refuses to treat COVID patients in the early stages. I'm sorry you haven't found alternative help but you are right that most doctors will not prescribe what is not 'tested' and 'approved'. The reason, more likely, is that they are under the oath they take which says 'at least, do no harm' and would answer to their own profession on an ethics basis if they prescribed that which was 'experimental' and not fully tested.
Believe me, doctors are far more concerned with their standing before their peers than being sued. The latter, they have insurance for. The former, once their reputations are trashed among their peers, there is not much to be done for them.
Codes of ethics in a profession are one way a profession can police itself, so that those who are unethical can be identified and dealt with by their peers. It is a 'big deal' to be in good standing with their peers, yes.
I hope you can find some peace of mind amidst all this trouble. Try to pray for guidance. But consider also the reality of what is happening. And then do what your conscience tells you to do. (The prayers will help you most in this process)
Very worried for all concerned who struggle with making decisions in these terrible times. I am most worried for the very old and the very young, who depend on the wisdom of others. May God have mercy.
I pray that the governors of states in crisis will try to do what is right for the sake of the school children now. Their health is newly threatened by the delta variant, yes. The children need to be protected from harm, not put into harm's way.
If nothing more, people need to protect the innocent who depend on them. It is their sacred duty.

I’ve asked the VA doctor for home health, and I have an appointment to see the best doctor August 11. Until then, it’s pain pills.
Christiane's logic as to why doctors will not treat COVID patients in the early stages of their testing positive saying,

you are right about this, but there is something more to know:
"Right now, the COVID-19 vaccines being used in the United States do not have full FDA approval, but instead they have something called emergency use authorization."
You need to ask your doctor what ELSE can he give you that has 'emergency use authorization'.
Some of the 'alternate' meds/treatments out there have been rejected as possibly harmful, so if they are in that category, chances are you won't be able to get a prescription from your physician for them specifically. But ask what else is available that might support your immune system. There must be something!

Fla Gov, Ron DeSantis, went on a rant to Biden saying for him not to talk about taking COVID measures until he (Biden)does something about the open borders with thousands of illegal aliens being disbursed throughout states all over the US.
It really is like an intentional infestation of COVID. Imagine saying we were trying to limit the "variant" coming in when at the same time we are enticing untold numbers of infected people to come spread it in our country. Many say when they come in that they are headed to Florida.
It is totally insane, like trying to stop the bathtub from overflowing while the faucet is on full blast!
That does not even address the Drug Cartel elements flowing in to establish their violent structure in the US including taking over the streets, the judicial system and the political structure to strengthen their mafia-type control. You can bet that in just a few years down the road the US will follow Mexico in surrendering control to the Cartels after they realize, like the Mexican President, that the only way to minimize the violence in the streets is to submit control to the Cartels. This was decided when the Cartel army defeated the Mexican army in the streets there.
And yet, not a word from Kamala. The only explanation I can think of as to why they are enticing the continued flow of illegals is thinking that they will give them the right to vote and they will vote for those who removed legal barriers to come in. However, the current regime may find that it all comes to bite them in the heel when the Cartels tell them, "We're not voting for you. We're taking over the government and you will follow our Pied Piper."
I believe the problem DeSantis has is that he's talking to "Biden" who is out to lunch and everyone, except his blind followers, knows that somebody else behind the scenes are calling the shots.
Yes, REX RAY, if it is getting worse, let the Bonham hospital take a look at your ankle. Aug. 11th appointment with that best doctor is next Wednesday, but you are in pain and notice the ankle looks worse, so every day counts.

Too late, I went before I read your comment. I’m really impressed how you found out about all the rules the hospital has.
Their doctor helped me 0%, but a nurse told us about a doctor that specializes in ankle problems. His office is nearby, but was closed before we got there.
My son warned us that his son is coming to get their house-trailer that’s about 40 feet long. The problem is they have two large dogs that may ‘eat’ the dog that’s 6 inches high that we’re keeping for our Fannin County Missionary. Our cat survives by going to the second floor of our shed.

Sugar is a killer. Period.
That's why my "low-sugar diet" has built (IMO), an effective natural immune system (as well as other things I do). I keep getting letters to give blood to those with Covid. :) I'm not sure why the government wants pressure on me to get the vaccine when the Red Cross wants me to give blood. Crazy times.
I agree with that NIH staffer with impeccable credentials. In both our cases, it is persuasion not compulsion.
