Melissa Crabtree |
Governor Stitt has made an excellent choice. Rachelle and I have the privilege of knowing Melissa Crabtree and her husband Robert and their two teenage children. The Oklahoma Senate will confirm Melissa's appointment next year, but she will serve in the interim.
There are five reasons Melissa Crabtree should be appointed to the Oklahoma Board of Education.
1. She's a teacher.
Melissa graduated from Carson-Newman College cum laude with a bachelor's degree in special education. Certified K-12, She taught special education in the public education system for four years, taught parents of children with disabilities with the Tennessee Infant-Parent Services, and taught her own children in her's and Robert's home for 15 years. She's spent years teaching children that they all have the opportunity to succeed with their own unique gifts and abilities. In short, Melissa loves teachers and teaching.2. She's a leader.
Melissa is well-known in our community. She has been active in orchestrating people to get involved in the community, seeking to make Enid a great place to live. I know for a fact that city leaders, education leaders, and community health leaders call Melissa to speak with her about issues. Some would wrongly say Melissa is an activist. She's a preservationist. She seeks to preserve the role of the family in society, the authority of the constitution in government, and the liberty of individuals to choose the best course of action for their lives.
3. She's a believer.
Melissa is a Christian. She is not ashamed of her faith. The internationally famous chemist and black educator named George Washington Carver (1860-1943) once remarked when asked the question about his success in life, "The secret of my success? It is simple. It is found in the Bible, 'In all thy ways acknowledge God and He shall direct thy paths.'" Melissa thinks, educates, and leads like Mr. Carver.
4. She's a researcher.
The liberal left would have you think that Melissa Crabtree believes in "conspiracy theories." That's not true. That, in fact, is a conspiracy theory of its own. Melissa believes in personal research and she knows how to read and come to conclusions on her own. She may hold certain positions that go against the establishment, but her positions are always well-researched and articulated beautifully. Dr. Immanuel Velikovsky, a close friend of Albert Einstein, faced similar charges from the scientific establishment in the 1950s. The establishment sometimes feels threatened by new ideas. Melissa will only be on the Oklahoma Board of Education as a threat to educational complacency, mediocrity, and aristocracy.
5. She's a fixer.
Oklahoma is tired of talk. Oklahoma needs action when it comes to our public educational system. If Oklahoma isn't careful, the public education system will collapse under its own weight. Many families are choosing home-schooling, private education, and professional online charter schools. It's time for the Oklahoma Board of Education to have representation on its board that will benefit all Oklahoma families.
All four of the Burleson children graduated from Enid High School. We have many administrators, teachers, and public school students that attend the church where I serve, from multiple public school districts in and around Enid.
I cannot think of a better person to represent my family, my city, my region on the Oklahoma Board of Education that Melissa Crabtree.
Contact Senator Roland Pederson and express your support for Melissa Crabtree.

Wade,
Mrs. Crabtree was our Principal when we were in the seventh grade in Grand Prairie, Texas. If Melissa Crabtree is anything like our Principal, I believe she’ll do a great job. Our mother taught school there and liked her very much.
That reminds me of our first three weeks there. We’d come from a country school where the teacher was happy with me making model-airplanes. We were in the eighth grade, but mother put us back in the seventh; saying we’d be lucky to pass. (She was right.)
The school had a ‘visiting person’ that graded the teacher on how correct their students answered her questions. She seemed to zero-in on my brother, Hez and me. (We didn’t know the State flower, State bird, etc.)
Our poor teacher kept saying, “They’ve only been here three weeks.”
The ‘grader’ said, “I notice you boys only print. Can you do cursive writing?”
Hez said, “No, our mother doesn’t allow us to curse.”
Wade,
Jesus said: “Just say a simple, ‘Yes I will,’ or ‘No I won’t.’ Anything beyond this is from the evil one.” (Matthew 5:37 NLT)
Reminds me of two of my young nieces: Older one said to her sister, “Where in God’s green earth have you been?”
“You’re not supposed to the take the Lord’s name in vain!”
“I don’t know what that means.”
“I don’t either, but you’re not supposed to do it.”
Also, the first day my nephew, Hez Dwain Ray, joined the Navy, a Sargent got in his face yelling, “Don’t you understand English?”
“Yes sir; it’s all those other words I don’t understand.”
Rex,
My paternal great-grandmother's maiden name was "Crabtree." From my research, most Crabtrees settled in Tennessee in minding country and eventually moved west in the late 1800s.
Loved your "cursive" writing joke and your "English" jokes. Going to be using them! :)
Wade,
Thanks.
Our Dad lost three times running for County Superintendent of Fannin County, Texas. He lost so bad; he asked his brother if he voted for him.
“Goodness no, Dave. I’ve got an honest brother and I want to keep him that way!”
Dad believed every candidate should have an opponent. Once, the mayor of Fairbanks, Alaska was running unopposed, so Dad ran against him. He received ten votes.
Dad told my brother-in-law, “It doesn’t matter if you win or lose, politics is fun.”
He replied, “You wouldn’t know much about the winning, would you?”
Today, I texted my brother-in-law that last night, I dreamed Dad became President of the United States. :)
WADE, I believe Mrs. Crabtree's situation has very recently changed.
REX RAY, I love your comments which made my morning brighter.
Up last night, as sister-in-law's illness has worsened. Very worried for her sake.
Christiane,
It has! She withdrew. She received some pretty brutal attacks.
CHRISTIANE,
Praying for your sister-in-law.
WADE, I saw them (the attacks) and they WERE brutal. No one deserves that kind of disrespect and I couldn't bear to comment on them. The unkindness out there these days has grown into something that is 'not who we are as Americans'. I'm sorry your friend had to go through that. The state could have benefitted mightily from her experience with special needs children, as God uses His gifts in people that have been 'cultivated' by experience into a kind of wisdom that is of 'good will' and is so much more valuable than 'book learning'.
Hey REX RAY,
Thank you for those prayers. My sister-in-law may retire if she survives this to spend more time with her grand-children, God willing. She has served long and well as a pediatric nurse-practitioner, much beloved, and one of the strongest people I know. Your prayers will help me cope with the worry, and thank you again. They won't let my brother see her. But he has a friend who is an internal medicine specialist who checks on her and reports to him, so at least he has that to help him cope.
God have mercy on us all. You take care.
Sojourner,
The Leader is a Bonham, Texas newspaper that has a Circulation of 15,611 that’s sent to 15 other local towns once a week. I’ve written a letter to the editor of The Leader that will be published next Tuesday. It states:
“The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is a United States federal agency. Its budget for 2018 was $11.9 billion.
A man that chooses to be anonymous wrote: “I have a PhD in virology and immunology. I'm a clinical lab scientist and have tested 1500 "supposed" COVID-19 samples. When my lab team and I did the testing, we found NO COVID. We sent some of the samples to seven university labs; They found NO COVID. All of us spoke to the CDC and asked for samples of COVID. They did not have any samples.
Most of the 225,000 who died got the flu but died because of heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and emphysema. COVID-19 does not exist. It is imaginary and fictitious. We seven universities are now suing the CDC for COVID-19 fraud.
The above is a condensed comment made by Sojourner on Wade Burleson’s blog that has over seven million pageviews. His complete comment can be found here: https://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=19615457&postID=327854742627902321

Rex, Wait - there’s more! :)
“The Smoking Gun: Where is the coronavirus? The CDC says it isn’t available.
The CDC document is titled, “CDC 2019-Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) Real-Time RT-PCR Diagnostic Panel.” It is dated July 13, 2020.
Buried deep in the document, on page 39, in a section titled, “Performance Characteristics,” we have this: “Since no quantified virus isolates of the 2019-nCoV are currently available, assays [diagnostic tests] designed for detection of the 2019-nCoV RNA were tested with characterized stocks of in vitro transcribed full length RNA…”
The key phrase there is: “Since no quantified virus isolates of the 2019-nCoV are currently available…”
Every object that exists can be quantified, which is to say, measured. The use of the term “quantified” in that phrase means: the CDC has no measurable amount of the virus, because it is unavailable. THE CDC HAS NO VIRUS.
A further tip-off is the use of the word ‘isolates.” This means NO ISOLATED VIRUS IS AVAILABLE.
Another way to put it: NO ONE HAS AN ISOLATED SPECIMEN OF THE COVID-19 VIRUS.
NO ONE HAS ISOLATED THE COVID-19 VIRUS.
THEREFORE, NO ONE HAS PROVED THAT IT EXISTS.
As if this were not enough of a revelation to shock the world, the CDC goes on to say they are presenting a diagnostic PCR test to detect the virus-that-hasn’t-been-isolated…and the test is looking for RNA which is PRESUMED to come from the virus that hasn’t been proved to exist.
And using this test, the CDC and every other public health agency in the world are counting COVID cases and deaths…and governments have instituted lockdowns and economic devastation using those case and death numbers as justification.”

Lew Rockwell?
please
I think if you follow Lew Rockwell and company, it can lead you to some very dark places.
All is not as it seems in that realm. And going deeper into the tunnel, what is so very dark they have not taken much trouble to hide. Have a care.
Christiane, the article snippet I posted was from Jon Rappoport. He’s been uncovering the fraud behind the CDC and people like Fauci for three decades.
Exposing fraud is like putting a puzzle together - one piece at a time. God has gifted some, not all, with the ability to do this.
“Every single fraud technique being used today to “sell” CoVid hysteria was invented in the 1980s and 1990s by Tony Fauci to sell the AIDS fraud.
Are you surprised to hear AIDS called a fraud? You won’t be after you see this film.”

BTW, Lew Rockwell had one of the best articles by Jeffrey Bar (an attorney I believe) that I’ve ever read on what Jesus meant when he said “Render unto Caesar...”. Perhaps you would enjoy it. :)

Sojourner,
Your link information is amazing!
Besides the proof that COVID-19 doesn’t exist, I thought the warning of taking the COVID-19 vaccine was funny as well revealing:
“Four volunteers who took Pfizer’s Covid-19 developed Bell’s Palsy; Evil FDA denies the temporary facial paralysis caused by the shot.”
I thought the best was: “Russia warns citizens not to drink alcohol for six weeks after Covid-19 Vaccine.”
good people, folks like Lew Rockwell hang with the likes of Alex Jones, who so mercilessly tormented the Sandy Hook parents . . . . we are not just talking 'far-right conspiracy theorists' here, we are talking the likes of 'evil'
Whatever you come to believe, remember who you are and don't fall for that which advocates and practices the torment of innocent people
I think you must make up your own minds, but be cautious - when you KNOW that there are those whose lies are intended to harm others, and those who advocate violence, be cautious to question what these people are putting 'out there', especially when they have already tried to torment and harm suffering people.
Once all that 'conspiracy' stuff gets into committing evil against people and suggesting violence, the amusement is over and something dark comes that is destructive. My advice is to be cautious and guard against that kind of rhetoric.
Alex Jones really hurt some people badly. They were already suffering. What kind of person does that?
?
Sojourner,
I agree Jeffrey Bar gave the best explanation on “Render unto Caesar” I’ve ever heard. Only problem: like lawyers it took seven pages to do it. :)
Wade,
In the 8th grade, Hez and I were NOT experienced at kissing. At a party, we didn’t know the game of Post Office. (Number of stamps were kisses.) Hez was the first to go into a dark room to be asked how many stamps he wanted. He didn’t come back. At my turn, a boy was going to hold me to get stamps. I enjoyed wrestling him. “Let him go, if that’s the way he’s going to be. I learned later, Hez had climbed out the window and gone home.
