Mosab spoke at our church and I can vouch for his integrity, his love for Christ, and his delight in doing whatever he can to lead his Muslim friends to an understanding that the key to a peaceful world is following the admonition of Christ to "love your enemies." Christianity Today is reporting that "so far very few within the community of Christian leaders have come forward in recent days to vouch for Mosab or pledge their support in his fight against deportation." Mosab's own father has issued a fatwah of death against his own son. Our church has answered the call to help Mosab. The government's concern is that Mosab may still be a terrorist. Those of us who know him or have read his book know that you cannot talk about the love of Christ in such real, personal language and be a fraud. If you would like to write a letter in support of Mosab's petition for political asylum, asserting your view he is not a terrorist and is no danger to the citizens of the United States, please address your letter to:

Wade, this is not about any blog post,but I hope you would want to hear about this: in this mornings New York Times,(6/9/2010) there is an article about Sharron Angle, the GOP candidate for US Senate, Nevada, who will run against Harry Reid. At the end of the article, "Results of Nevada Primary Set Up Senate Race of Sharp Contrasts" NYT national edition A 20:
"Sharon is a great lady,' said Frank Bushley, the pastor of the Fellowship Baptist Church, a Southern Baptist Church in Reno."She is a godly woman," he said. "She has all the attributes of Jesus."
Now the Southern Baptists are making character references. I am sure Billy Graham could give that pastor some advice especially referring to his relationship with President Nixon and the subsequent revelations of how it was just a calculated political position for the President - and Mr. Grahams hesitancy going forward of every getting too familiar or close with a political person.

I love your blog and I trust you beyond measure regarding your judgement of this young man and his motives. I really do.
However, I saw this video for the first time the other day and I must say it has led me to deep reflection about these very things and I would love your thoughts.
The video is less than 8 minutes and it is an eye opener. Especially interesting starting around the 3:30 mark forward and his remarks about the "dual Muslim nature".

I hope that, as the other side of this coin, you are strongly encouraging Mosab Hassan to join himself with a local church and place himself under the oversight of a good pastor or group of elders. He doesn't need to be "floating around."
Too often, early fame for new converts has led to a quick fall. He needs a faithful, healthy congregation that will hold him accountable to his testimony of loving Christ.

I think this is a noble, American, and indeed Christian thing you are doing. I am happy to see American Christians standing up for and providing assistance to the world-wide persecuted body. However, I think I might suggest that random letters from the commenters on this site would and should have no credibility with the U.S. State Department. Our trust in you and your church's discernment ought to have no bearing upon their decision. I can read a book and a sermon of a former Muslim and be persuaded that he is a true believer...Caner may even be...
...but in this case I will pray for you and Emmanuel, and Mosab Hassan, and all those who have a credible position to act as paraclete. You and Emmanuel have an intimate position whereas we on this blog do not. I trust you in this matter and whether you are wrong or right, your actions are born from a spirit of righteousness. But the State Department ought not consider the opinions of your blog commenters.

Wade, I too hope you are right. I must admit that I know very little about Mosab. Yet, I think we can never know for certain a man's heart or motives. We have been fooled too many times by too many professing Christians. There is too much at stake for me to write a letter simply because of your urging. I'd rather be wrong in not writing a letter than wrong in writing one. That in itself may be wrong. Blessings to you.

Check out the first video. This is what is going on in America at a public festival for Muslims in Dearborn, Michigan. Note the "security" people, who are Muslims, are the ones who are hitting.
Why are we allowing this in America? Why are we allowing Muslims to decide what questions can be asked?
After viewing this, Can one imagine what will happen to Mosab if he is deported?
